My Morning Routine

I find that having a routine in the morning is so important, not only physically but also to my mental health – it helps me to feel fresh and ready for the day. I find that when I’m organised in the mornings, it keeps me motivated throughout the day. One of the main ways I enjoy my morning routine is by making sure my phone is not in sight – this was the hardest thing to do as I found it as a bad habit, but now I have broken the habit I love having time away from my phone!

Once i’m up, I make sure to fuel my body by eating breakfast – it’s the most important meal of the day and can definitely make a difference in how your day pans out – I find that once I’ve eaten, it’s helps me to stay focused!

Then I will complete my simple morning skincare routine (let me know if you’d like to see it), and brush my teeth! I have recently started using Lavera Whitening Toothpaste – it is a gentle toothpaste and isn’t too harsh! It helps to protect the enamel and to leave the teeth looking brighter. It has a subtle mint flavour and is lightly foamed – I find one of the best things about this toothpaste is I don’t get the sensitive feeling when I take a drink, which is a definite thumbs up from me!

After brushing my teeth, I like to use a mouthwash but have found it hard to find one that isn’t too strong or burns my sensitive gums! Until I started using The Breath Co. Fresh Breath mouthwash in mild mint. This product honestly does last the majority of the day – so there’s no need to worry about your breath after lunch (unless you’re eating garlic). It also doesn’t leave any nasty after taste and is lovely and refreshing. It’s a little more on the pricey side at £14, but I genuinely think I would buy this product as it really is a nice mouthwash!

Finally, to finish my morning routine. I have one Grethers pastilles in Blueberry – primarily they are for a sore throat but I have found that it helps my throat throughout the day, I don’t feel any hoarseness and it helps to stop my mouth from feeling so dry! These are gluten free and don’t contain *ANY* nasties which is perfect – they also taste great!

Skin – My Saviour Products |

I’ve never had many struggles with my skin but sometimes, I do get the occasional breakouts. I am always on the lookout for new products which which really make a difference to my skin. I have been tempted by so many products just because they look good, but unfortunately don’t work very well for my skin. I feel comfortable with my skin, but sometimes when I break out, I wouldn’t dare leave the house without some makeup on covering up my blemishes.

I don’t know why I tend to get breakouts, it could be hormonal, stress related or from not drinking enough water. I was recently gifted a set from Forever Sonya, containing four products. I have been using them all and have decided to give you an honest review.

As everybody’s skin type is different, it doesn’t mean what works on someone else’s skin will work for another – I’m often combination, but tend to have an oily T-Zone throughout Summer months and a dry T-Zone throughout Winter.

Refreshing Gel Cleanser – this is best used mornings + evenings. It contains amino acids which is designed to help cleanse combination skin. It helps to make the skin feel gentle and smooth.

Illuminating gel – this is designed to restore natural brilliance. It works really well and helps to renew the skin’s appearance – it reduced the redness. It contains asian botanics which helps to reduce appearance of large pores.

Refining gel mask – leverages the natural functions of the body while sleeping to help support balance. The aim of this mask is to control the oil and to brighten the appearance of the skin. This was my favourite product of the 4, it was so refreshing on the skin.

Gel moisturiser – I use this product last and it looks like a moisturiser but is a gel formula. It contains collagen which is used to improve the appearance of skin. A little bit really does go a long way – it really helps to keep the moisture in the face and is very brightening!
