Hello, and welcome back to my blog! Today I’m going to be sharing with you my October Favourites. I am literalllllly shocked at how quickly this month has gone and the fact that we’re now already in November! It’s crazy to look and see how quickly this year has gone! But, apart from that, there are a few things I can’t wait to share with you today!
Wearing – big warm jumpers. Now that the weather has actually turned to Autumn and the fact it hasn’t stopped raining for the past how ever many days, its safe to say I haven’t been without my warm jumpers. I find that they are such a necessity at this time of year, regardless of how you wear them. There are so many different ways to wear them!
Playlist – again, another month where I’ve been listening to podcast’s A LOT. This month, I have been listening to a podcast for about 15/20 minutes just before I go to sleep and its quite surprising how many you can go through in a week. I’ve now been able to listen to my podcasts on 1.25x speed which reduces a 1 hour podcast by a lot. This month, I have been catching up with older episodes of ‘The High Low’. I love how raw and real it is – both Pandora and Dolly talk about real events and aren’t afraid to share their views on certain topics!
Watching – A Confession. An ITV drama. I was absolutely obsessed with it and managed to finish it up in 2 sittings. It’s a 6 part drama following the murder of a young girl. Based on a true story. Only to find that the man who has committed the murder also confessed to killing another girl, but, as the police officer didn’t comply with the PACE Act, they sought to strike his confession from the evidence. Meaning he didn’t get charged with the murder for the other girl, until further evidence comes into play years down the line. I thoroughly enjoyed the drama, although saddened that it is based on a true story!
Reading – The Truth and Triumphs of Grace Atherton. What a beautiful, unique story. I picked this up at my library as it was in the ‘trending this month’ section. I had heard nothing about it before picking it up, but something just drew me to it, and I’m so glad I picked it up and gave it a go! I found that the story was something I had never really read before and loved all of the characters and the real empathy you could feel!
On the hair – Dry Conditioner by Percy & Reed. I’ve trained my hair well enough to only need a wash 1/2 times a week, but some mornings you just feel like it’s flat. I was rummaging through my bits and bobs and came across this product, I have been spraying it onto my brush and brushing from my roots down and have found that this really helps give amazing volume and makes your hair feel silky soft!
On the body/face – L’oréal Deep Clay Mask. There’s nothing nothing worse when your face begins to get drier because the weather is getting worse too! Luckily, I have a stash of face masks and have found that this has been a life saver. It’s designed to take away impurities and combat excess sebum. I have been using this 2-3 times a week and has definitely made a difference to my skin!
Smelling of – Black Amber from Zara. I definitely love more musky or heavier scents in the Autumn and I have found that every day I have pretty much wore this. I just love how effortless it smells but gives off such a gorgeous smell. It’s the type of perfume you can pop on and a couple of hours later you get a whiff and think ‘ah it still smells really good’! & at only £9.99, it’s such a bargain!
