From having a beauty advent calendar for Christmas and starting Glossybox, I have accumulated quite a few new products from brands I haven’t tried before. Therefore, I decided that I would start to try these products and see whether they’re worth the hype to buy the full product, or whether to stay clear from it. I have been using all four of these products consistently for two weeks, in order to give myself the best honest opinion I can.
Hayloft: Instant Moisture Boost – I have been using this in the mornings. It is very light and easy to apply, the consistency isn’t too thick and doesn’t feel sticky on the face. It is perfect to use before applying your SPF for the day. It contains hyaluronic acid and it really does make your face feel plumping and gives it a softening effect. You can buy this product here for only £10 for 30ml. Personally, I think this is a really good price for what it does. I rate this product!
Formula: Ultimate Sleep Cream – The first thing I found with this product was that it was a very thick consistency and felt very heavy when applied to the face. It takes a long time to soak into the skin – which may be why its intended for a sleep cream. Although, the next morning, my face did feel soft but apart from that, I didn’t find it made much of a difference. You can buy this product here from M&S for £22 for 50ml. I feel that there are other alternatives which work better as a night cream, so for me I didn’t rate this product!
Studio 10: Makeup mist (Glow-Flexion) – I used this mist as a primer before applying my foundation and definitely helps gives that dewy finish! It has really helped with the dryness around my T zone and I find it is much easier to apply product around that area. As a mist, I find this a really great product, granted there are other alternatives, but for the price I feel its great if you’re on a budget! I am unable to find the link online, but Studio 10’s website is linked here if you would like to shop any other products!
Steve Laurant: Lip Gloss in Nude Pop – I love a lipgloss, which is why I probably have about 5/6 on the go at the same time, don’t tell me you’re not guilty of this either! I did like this, it only has a slight colour which is subtle and perfect for everyday wear. It was creamy and also doesn’t dry out your lips – I would say it doesn’t last along as others I own but its still a nice alternative. Though I loved this product, personally I wouldn’t pay £17 for a lip gloss. If you are looking for a more luxury lip gloss, then this is a perfect candidate! You can buy the product here.
I really enjoyed trying out these products and have discovered some great brands – are there any products you have which have surprised you? I would love to know!
